Answer:

Nursing Informatics.

Health Promotion Infographics may be defined as graphical representation tools like pictures and images, enabling patients to access knowledge and better understand the specific disease, procedure, and healthcare trending topic. They are in the form of graphics, thus making data easily understandable at a glance. My chosen group is the indigenous Australians, who are defined to be people who are members of the aboriginal race in Australia.

There are several insights concerning the topic and the target group. I have school promotion insight on the topic and the target group from my peers. From the study and my peer, I understand that school can be used to promote and support equal community wellbeing standards for both the original and aboriginal communities (McGough, Wynaden, & Wright, 2018). I also have insight from my peers and readings that the target experiences a 33% higher mental illness and psychological stress rate than the indigenous people. I finally have an insight from the reading that the suicide rate among the indigenous people is 5times more than non-indigenous people.

Infographics are engaged in healthcare mainly to promote understanding through facilitating the patient process of understanding the cause and risks of a specific disease. It is also engaged in communicating complex data within healthcare. In the illustration, an infographic is a visually represented information that may include various elements like images, diagrams, icons, charts, and texts. In format, an infographic may be imagery collection, data visualization like charts, or minimal text giving the topic overview (Eljiz, Greenfield, Hogden, Siddiqui, & Milosavljevic, 2020). The poster design element available are images, diagrams, and icons, which are captured and involved to bring understanding to our indigenous Australian mental health topic.

The content had enough details to convey the salient issue by showing us 1 in 5 Australians face mental illness hence making it a priority in healthcare. Moreover, the content shows us that the suicidal cases are 5times high in indigenous people compared to non-indigenous with 4.4% of the hospitalized mental illness being indigenous and 33% of indigenous having mental illness compared to the non-indigenous hence conveying a clear message of inequality among the Australians (Peiris, Brown, & Cass, 2018).

In addressing my peer’s question, I would answer them that infographics are picture display that conveys a particular message making it more understandable. I would also answer on the roles of the infographic, which include interpretation, analysis, explanation, assessment, and conclusion of certain information. Finally, I address my peer’s post on the advantages and disadvantages of infographics. The advantages include breaking down complex data into understandable bits, catching the target audience’s attention, increasing awareness, and easy to share disadvantages including time-consuming, hard to express clearly, and easy to over budget.
